OWLValidator
The OWLValdidator plugin provides a bridge to the WonderWeb OWL Valdiation Service. This validator determines the species of an OWL ontology - i.e. whether it is OWL Lite, OWL-DL or OWL-Full. The validator produces a report in the form of a web page (see the example below).
OWLValidator Plugin (build 1)
To install the OWLValdidator plugin, unzip the zip file into the Protege plugins folder.
Last updated: 19th May 2005To use the OWLValdiator plugin, select "WonderWeb Validator -> Validate Ontology" from the Tools menu. The validator plugin will send the ontology to the WonderWeb validator and then invoke a web browser to display the results.
To modify the OWLValidator preferences, select "WonderWeb Validator -> "Validator preferences..." from the tools menu.
The following options are available:
- Valdiation level - Specifies the desired species of the ontology. If the ontology is within the specified species the validation will succeed - if the ontology is not within the specified species the validation will fail.
- Show abstract syntax - If this option is selected the validator will show the OWL Abstract Syntax representation of the ontology in the results page.
- Show constructs used - If this option is selected the validator will show a list summary in the results page of the OWL constructs used.
