Software Setup
The tutorials will be very hands-on and we encourage participants to work in small groups. Please bring along your own machine - here is a provisional list of the software you will need to install (to be confirmed):
- Java 5.0 Runtime Environment (JRE) (windows/linux)
(mac):
Please install according to the vendor's instructions. - Protege 4.0:
Download with or without an installer. Run the appropriate .command, .sh or .bat file (on some systems you may need to alter the permissions to allow this file to execute) - Graphviz: (required for OWLViz) installing in the default location is recommended
Because of the speed at which the software is being updated, ensure you have a version that is up-to-date a few days before the tutorial starts.
Please be aware, to minimise disruption on the day, we will only be able to handle installation queries during breaks, so please contact us if you have any difficulties beforehand.
