Many parties have been interested in seeing what Ontologies can do for them. As a demonstrator, CO-ODE have put together a small application which uses OWL and a reasoner to form valid queries over a pizza ontology.

23-Sep-2004 - 6th. Annual SNOMED International Users Group

CO-ODE have been working with the IOTA group on a simple interface extension to Protégé-OWL to allow them to build/manage a terminology. This was recently shown to several interested parties at the SNOMED User Group Meeting in Arizona and was presented in 'Towards Standardisation of Terminology in Anesthesia Information Management Systems'

11-Jun-2004 - Protégé OWL tutorial release

This new tutorial is pitched at newcomers to OWL and Protégé OWL.
It steps through all the basic modelling constructs and offers clear descriptions of the interface, the theory and good practice.

We are happy to announce that Designing User Interfaces to Minimise Common Errors in Ontology Development: The CO-ODE and HyOntUse Projects has been accepted as a paper. CO-ODE will also be hosting a Birds-of-a-Feather meeting, Ontologies: Applications, Requirements and Tools on 2nd Sept 2004.
